I want to take a minute to recommend a new children’s book that our family has enjoyed lately, God the Father and the Best Day Ever.
Written by Gracie Jagla (and published by Our Sunday Visitor), it exudes beauty and truth, as it describes God’s overwhelming love for us.
The rhyming prose walks us through the creation story and how original sin kept us from sharing the intimate relationship God had originally designed for us- but through the Easter story, Jesus conquered sin and death, and ultimately made it THE BEST DAY EVER. God the Father was able to reunite with all his saintly children just as He intended in heaven.
This heartwarming story with its creative and colorful illustrations is sure to bring about opportunities for wonderful faith-filled and purposeful discussions with your children, reminding them of our purpose – that we can one day join our Creator in heaven. Won’t that be our BEST DAY EVER!?
